Syndactyly in Apert syndrome

Syndactyly in Apert syndrome

Syndactyly is the abnormal connection of 2 fingers. Most commonly, it is a webbing between 2 fingers- the middle and ring fingers. It can also involve more than 2 fingers. Individuals with Apert syndrome have syndactyly of the fingers and toes . The severity of the fusion varies, although the hands tend to be more severely affected than the feet.
