Some most common types of medicines for management of heart failure are; • Beta blockers decrease heart rate and blood pressure. e.g. Propanolol, Metaprolol, Atenolol • Calcium channel blockers (CCBs) decrease heart rate and improve efficiency of heart. e.g. Amplodipine, Diltiazem, Felodipine • Nitroglycerin increases blood flow by vasodilation. • Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors decrease blood pressure by vasodilation. E.g. Captopril, Lisinopril, Benazipril • Statins reduce blood lipid level. E.g. Atorvastatin, Lovarstatin, Simvastatin
