Furniture contains formaldehyde. It is a common chemical present in most of household necessities. However, brand-new furniture produces formaldehyde after 2 years of use. This contributes to indoor pollution. Easiest way to secure yourself is to open windows for 10-15 minutes daily to let the formaldehyde fumes escape and fresh air come in.
