Acrodermatitis Enterohepatica (EA) is a manifestation of abnormal zinc metabolism. Zinc deficiency may arise due to inability to absorb zinc from intestine secondary to genetic mutations or decreased intake of zinc. The manifestations of EA are inflammation of skin with vesicobullous lesions which become psoriasis-like after healing. The individual with EA can present with chronic diarrhea. Irritability and behavioral changes are also found. Reference: https://rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/acrodermatitis-enteropathica/ Image via: https://dermnetnz.org/topics/acrodermatitis-enteropathica
