Many people rely on coffe to start their day. Little do they realize the combination of caffeine and sugar, even caffeine alone, is harmful for teeth. Caffeine reduces saliva production which triggers tooth decay. Additionally, bacteria feed on sugar and proliferate leading to break down of enamel. This ultimately results in dental decay.
