Staying in sunlight is beneficial for your bones as it produces vitamin D. Ideally, white-skinned people should stay for 10-15 minutes under the sun whereas dark-skinned individuals for 30 minutes. The melanin in dark-skinned individuals does not absorb sunlight as efficiently as in white-skinned.
