Sporotrichosis is also known as Rose Gardener's disease. It is an infectious disease caused by fungus called sporothrix. This fungus is usually found in plant matter and soil. Sporotrichosis can cause disease on the skin, lungs, or other parts of the body through dissemination. The cutaneous disease caused by sporothrix is the most common manifestation of sporotrichosis. The cutaneous sporotrichosis begins with painless bump on fingers, hand, or arm. This bump grows into a large swelling which ulcerates. In addition, many bumps appear near the primary lesion. Oral itraconazole is the mainstay treatment of sporotrichosis. Reference: https://www.cdc.gov/fungal/diseases/sporotrichosis/index.html Image via: https://www.mdpi.com/2309-608X/4/3/89
