What is the patient history in roseola infantum?
The classical presentation of roseola infantum would be a 9-12 month old infant. History would be an abrupt onset high fever lasting for about 3 days. Rapid defervescence and appearance of a pink morbilliform exanthem (rash). An immunocompromised patient can also present with malaise and CNS involvement. A febrile seizure also occurs in 15 percent of the patients.
