What is the general prognosis of roseola infantum?
Generally, it has an excellent prognosis. Most of the cases resolve spontaneously (are benign). Only in rare cases ( if the patient is immunocompromised) the infection can recur.
Prognosis of Roseola Infantum Roseola infantum has good prognosis in immunocompetent individuals. It is a benign condition which resolves on its own with adequate medical attention. Children usually do not develop residual complications unless the immune system is compromised. The prognosis is excellent.
