Roseola Infantum Roseola infantum is a viral illness which mainly infects infants and toddlers. It is a contagious disease caused by Human Herpes Virus-6 (HHV-6). This viral disease presents with erythematous maculopapular rash all over the body, fever and flu-like symptoms. Roseola infantum resolves with in a week even without treatment.
