Most cases of Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome are linked to chlamydia or gonorrhea infections in PID. It is marked by sudden, severe pain in the upper right quadrant of the abdomen, just below the ribs. The patient may also feel pain on the right shoulder and right arm. Moving usually makes it worse. And some common symptoms like fever, chills, malaise, hiccups, headache, night sweats, diarrhoea and vomiting are also seen.
