Cotard's Syndrome

Cotard's Syndrome

Cotard's syndrome (also known as walking corpse syndrome or Cotard's delusion) causes people to feel that portions of their bodies are missing, or that they are dying, dead, or that they don't exist. They may believe there is no such thing as reality. Cotard's condition is extremely uncommon, with just around 200 instances reported globally. Despite the severity of the symptoms, most patients improve with therapy. Cotard's syndrome can be treated in a variety of ways, according to doctors. The standard strategy is to address the underlying medical issue. The majority of individuals benefit from a combination of medicine and psychotherapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) or psychotherapy. Both of these give a safe space for people to talk about how they're feeling and to learn how to think and act in better ways.
