Anemia due to chronic Malaria

7 years ago, i took this photo in a very remote area. This is hand of 11 y.o boy with anemia due to chronic Malaria. In this island, hard to find patients with normal Hemoglobin level. So, we frequent do operative procedures with kind of condition. I ever do secarean section in 6 gr/dL hemoglobin level, but luckily their physiologic system already adapted these condition.
