Pelvic inflammatory disease is a painful condition characterized by the infection of female genital tract. In most of the cases it occurs as a complication of Sexually transmitted diseases. The most commonly involved organisms in PID are Gonorrhoea and Chlamydia. Symptoms of PID are lower abdominal pain, dyspareunia, painful micturation, dysmenorrhea, vaginal discharge, etc. Complication of PID includes adhesions, tubo-ovarian abscess, salphingitis, endometritis. I have my sister 25 years old now and 36 wks pregnant. Her doctor told her she will have to deliver by ceaserian section because she had Chronic PID 7yrs ago(It was treated) . But is it true women who have ever had PID can't have normal labour
