Which animals bite is more likely to result in infection, a dog or cat?

Animal bites are commonly known to cause infection and if left untreated can progress to sepsis. Most common pets are cats and dogs. Cats are the animals whose bite can lead to infections as they have sharp teeth and the bite can lead to introduction of bacteria in deep dermis. Over 50% of cat bites are known to lead to infections.
