Platypnea-Orthodeoxia Syndrome
Platypnea-Orthodeoxia Syndrome refers to dyspnea and hypoxia occurring when a patient moves from a recumbent to an upright position. It occurs due to intra-pulmonary shunting through direct arteriovenous communications.
