A yound patient came to hospital with enlarged cervical lymph node, one of his cervical lymph bode was removed. After removing his lymph node closure was done by simple suture, suture was made in a way that it won’t leave any scar. Most common cause of enlarged cervical lymph node is Tuberculosis.
Are you sure subcuticular doesnt leave scar behind?
Absorbable surure was used hence scar will be very minimal secondly the plastic surgeon make sure that suture is parallel to skin pattern so scar mark won’t be there.
Absorbable suture was used which most likely don’t leave scar and the plastic surgeon make sure that suture was done parallel to skin pattern.
But still it will leave a scar but a very fine scar ofcourse if the wound wasnt deep, by the way iam plastic surgery resident
There was another patient there who went through the same procedure and there was no scar, the same plastic surgeon did the suture on her who was doing this one. Incision wasn’t deep so probably that’s why scar wasn’t there.
Yes in this case if its a superficial wound most probably after 6 months the scar may subside completely
