#Pharmcology #Cholinergic Cholinergic Receptors: Cholinergic receptors are of two types: 1) nicotinic cholinergic receptors. 2) Muscarinic cholinergic receptors. Nicotinic cholinergic receptors are basically Ion channels. these nicotinic receptors have special pockets with which acetylcholine can attach. Nicotinic receptors are normally off. when acetylcholine come and bind with these nicotinic cholinergic receptors, these receptors activate and open its central pores and allow the movement of monovalent action.
