Twins sharing a single heart (Thoracopagus)

Conjoined twin is a rare congenital anomaly together with severe mortality and morbidity.  Thoracopagus is the most common form of conjoined twins,with fusion from the anterior thorax to the umbilicus.Alongwith a shared heart they may also share one liver and upper intestine. A common pericardial sac is present in 90% of thoracopagus twins, and conjoined hearts are seen in 75%.
