Amoxicillin oral, commonly known as Amoxil, is an Antimicrobial agent. It is used for the treatment of H.pylori infection, duodenal ulcer, sore throat, ear infection, skin infection, UTI and all other bacterial infections. This drug is a penicillin antibiotic. It kills bacteria and prevents their growth. The side effects of Amoxicillin include black and swollen tongue, rashes, headache, vaginal itching and discharge, stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. Amoxicillin interacts with Chlortetracycline, Desogestrel, Drospirenone, Estradiol, Gestodene, Mestranol, Methotrexate, Omadacycline, Sulfasalazine, Warfarin, and Tigecycline. The classes of drugs which maonly interact with Amoxicillin include anticoagulants, uricosuric drugs, probenecid, allopurinol, oral contraceptives, typoid vaccine and anti-cancer drugs.
