Cyclobenzaprine belongs to the class of Muscle Relaxants. Cyclobenzaprine is used to relax strained and fatigued muscles. It is usually prescribed for muscular injuries, sprains, muscle pulls and muscle discomfort. It relaxes muscles and alleviates pain. The side effects of Cyclobenzaprine include - Xerostomia i.e. dry mouth - Heartburn - Dizziness - Sleepiness - Fatigue and exhaustion - Drowsiness - Nausea - Palpitations - Visual problems - Loss of mental clarity i.e. confusion - Agitation Cyclobenzaprine interacts with the following drugs. - Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) e.g. Selegiline, Rasagiline - Anticholinergic drugs e.g. Tolterodine, Oxybutynin - Antidepressants e.g. Venlafaxine, Amitriptyline - Barbiturates e.g. Phenobarbital
