Asteroid hyalosis

Asteroid hyalosis

Asteroid hyalosis (AH) is a degenerative eye condition characterized by the buildup of calcium, lipids, and phosphorus, in the vitreous humor of the eye. The exact cause of this build up is still unknown but is thought to happen alongside certain underlying conditions, including: diabetes heart disease high blood pressure These spots are often hard to identify and can only be seen in proper lighting. Besides the appearance of small white spots on your vision,it does not cause any problems. In majority of the cases no treatment is required. If it starts to affect your vision, the vitreous humor can be surgically removed and replaced. credits: https://www.healthline.com/health/asteroid-hyalosis#treatment https://images.app.goo.g/LAmzDLTB168vGeoYA
