Hi everyone! I am a first year medical student, and I am now learning anatomy. The thing is it looks so hard to me(i forget things after seconds)😜. I would like to hear any of your tips on how to learn anatomy efficiently. Is it better to write things down or just try remembering and revising all that? P.s i am using Sobotta for osteology, muscles, and Netter for other structures. Thanks in advance.

Try taking it one at a time. See how all the structures connect and interact with each other. Don’t focus on memorizing so much, try to understand how it all connects. You can also watch 3D animations on YouTube ... they helped me a lot.

For me,it's very helpful to write things down and in some cases for example in the arm anatomy it is helpful to draw on my body

Read grays or any other reference it helps you learn then summarize it and review your notes again and again in separated times. Avoid using more than one reference because make you confused.

Look its simple. Aclimitise yourself to this new world of anatomy instead of trying to memorise. Look at as many diagrams (good quality) as possible. Once the picture sets in your brain trust me you wont forget it for life!
