The Hasselbach's triangle is an area in the lower portion of the anterior abdominal wall. It is the site through which most direct inguinal hernias protrude. The simplest way to memorise its boundaries is by remembering that the hernia can RIP through the triangle! R- Rectus sheath (lateral border) medially I- Inferior epigastric artery laterally P- Poupart's/ Inguinal ligament inferiorly
