Spider nevi

Vascular lesion usually found in the distribution of SVC, consists of central dilated arteriole with radiating capillaries, compression on central arteriole leads to blanching of the radiating capillaries. It may be found with pregnancy, liver cell failure, thyrotoxicosis or even in normal person. Its cause is not clear but may be due to increased vasodilator mediators like Nitric oxide.
