🔸The pic above 👆 is for the flower Colchicum autumnale🌺 from which the drug Colchicine is extracted. 🔸 Colchicine is a member of NSAIDs. 🔸 Used for treatment of gouty arthritis. 🔸 It is readily absorbed from oral adminstration. 🔸 It inhibits leucocytes migration and phagocytosis by inhibiting intracellular microtubules which is important for cells mobility. 🔸 It may cause diarrhea as an adverse effect and occasionally nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
