

I often get asked about patient outcomes in neurosurgery. Is it true that we're always breaking bad news? Do all of our patients do really badly? If that's the case, why do we bother doing what we do? A lot of medical students have an interest in becoming neurosurgeons but they can be put off by their limited exposure and seeing lots of bad outcomes in our patients, most often after a brain injury.
