Omg as I learned how do take blood, so my studycollegueas and we tried it by each other. So we knew how painful it could be. And our first patients knew that we were beginners. They could say "No".I think you will be reallly asthonished when you try it by your first patient.
At my school we are not allowed to practise for real, are there any other options to make it more realistic than a fake arm?
We never actually used dummies, I learned taking blood on patients. Dummies just feel so much different from an actual vein and it’s much easier and once you know how it feels to puncture an actual vein you’ll just get better and better. The anatomy is different in every patient and that’s the most important thing you have to keep in mind. And when in doubt about finding the right vein close your eyes, you’ll feel it better
