It is a straight line that extends from top of greater trochanter to anterior superior iliac spine(asis) and continues upward over anterior abdominal wall to reach umbilicus IF GREATER TROCHANTER IS ELEVATED AS IN CASE OF FRACTURE OF NECK OF FEMUR THIS LINE PASSES BELOW UMBILICUS
