¬Lateral sinus thrombosis (intracranial) complication of CSOM ~The greisinger sign - edema over posterior part of mastoid due to thrombosis of mastoid emissary vein (filled with blood) ~Picket fence fever - irregular having one or more peaks or "spikes" per day. , it is usually accompanied by chills and rigor, profuse sweating follows fall of temperature. ~ Tobey Ayer sign - no increase in ICT on pressure on the Jugular vein on the affected side ~ Empty delta sign - on CT ~ Crowe beck sign - pressure on I.J.V on the normal side causes engorged retinal veins and papilloedema on the affected side on fundoscopy.
