4 day-old full term baby boy presented with delayed passage of meconium (2 days), vomits 30-60 mins after milk consumption, abdominal distention. Picture: Bowel loops and peristalsis can be seen on abdominal surface. Plain abdomen xray shows multiple dilated small bowel loops and no air passage to the distal. Working diagnosis: Ileal atresia Differential diagnosis: Meconium ileus, long segment of Hirschsprung disease Operative finding: Type 1 ileal atresia
