These pictures were taken intraoperatively during the bilateral resection of plica with resection of the posterior half of the right fat pad due to Hoffa's syndrome. The surgery was conducted arthroscopically using 4 access points on the knee (1 medially, 3 laterally). Physical therapy consisted of twice weekly treatment to combat atrophy and scar tissue massages to ensure little to no chance of reoccurrence in the form of scar tissue. Full recovery took approximately ten months, however, minor pain and stiffness still occur in the absence of frequent stretching.
