possible heart arrhythmia? i’m a 16 yo female and i’ve had random chest pains for a few years (i assumed it was pericordial catch) ? i remember going to the drs as a kid because my chest hurt. anyway. for the last few months i’ve been experiencing heart palpitations, fatigue and dizziness when i stand up. she counted my heart rate a few months ago (believe it was 107 resting). i’ve just done it again myself and got 117. is this worth getting checked out?

Arrhythmia is far more common than you’d imagine, but a simple 12 lead ECG can reveal arrhythmia. My first question to you would be if you feel this chest pain along with the dizziness and fatigue, where is the pain, and describe it. Chest pain is a common misused term that can be scary to hear when it can be something as simple as a rib rotating a millimeter and bumping one of the many nerves that run along the bottom of them. That would eliminate many cardiovascular issues and limit the diagnosis to (but not exclusively) heart palpitations and arrhythmia. 12 Lead ECG and/or an Echo will give you the best answer though.

I had the same problem and I got blood work done and they told me I had iron and vitamin D difficiency. After taking supplements for about three months now (I'm still taking them) I have recovered and no longer feel that way. Yours could be something else though, I'm just saying this was what had happened to me

I am having the same symptoms for more than a week now. All investigations were normal except for Vitamin D, it was low. However, according to the Dr, vitamin D can cause chest pain and fatigue but not palpitations.

I would recommend getting checked. Echo can be useful for your condition to detect if there is any cardiac issues.
