Conjoined twins Jadon and Anias, fused at the cranium, were successfully separated after a 27 hour surgery back in 2017! Montefiore surgeons and doctors prepared for months in advance. The team, comprising more than 50 specialists across 12 disciplines, performed 4 surgeries over 9 months to separate Anias and Jadon's intertwined brains. Anias and Jadon have made a strong recovery and continue to show tremendous progress as a result of the separation. They continue to defy the odds on their road to recovery. Both boys will wear helmets to help shape their skulls, and much more rehabilitation is needed. We hope to keep up with the boys as they continue their journey, and wish them luck, love, and joy each step of the way!
Just watching The good doctor s1e11 and this pops up, funny coincidence.
