NSAIDs lead to destruction of the bone marrow which is the main site for the synthesis of all RBCs, WBCs & platelets.

PGs are protective for gastic mucosa. So NSAIDS may cause ulcers and bleeding. Due to antiplatelet effect and low gastric mucosal integrity, there can be occult loss of blood. This can cause anemia. Blood loss anemia infact. It will be normocytic normochromic.
