Face Transplant
A 33-year-old Polish man received a face transplant just three weeks after being disfigured in a workplace accident, in what his doctors said Wednesday is the fastest time frame to date for such an operation. It was Poland’s first face transplant.He was injured in an accident at a stone mason’s workshop when a machine used to cut stone tore off most of his face and crushed his upper jaw.
It would be interesting to see a before and after as I’d like to know how effective the operation was in relation to time span of accident to transplant . With most of the well documented cases the time span has been years rather than weeks, so it would be interesting to make a comparison.
