This photo has gone viral a while back, a preterm newborn baby holds an oxygen mask by himself. The newborn baby was born a few weeks earlier than expected. Because the lungs were not developed enough to take over the respiratory function, the doctor put an oxygen mask on the baby to prevent him from contracting acute respiratory distress syndrome or wet lung disease as some might call it, when he surprisingly held the oxygen mask with his hands.It is rare for a newborn baby to hold an oxygen mask independently, and the movement was considered as unconscious.
