Dr. Martin Goodman of Tufts Medical School presents a Whipple Procedure for Carcinoma of the Pancreas. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is the ninth most common cancer in the United States, but due to symptoms – such as back pain, jaundice and weight loss – which typically only present once the disease has moved beyond the pancreas, it is the fourth most common cause of cancer death.
