This poor patients hand got trapped in a loft hatch when the ladder gave way, shutting the door on the fingers. He was stuck for 10 minutes before he was able to receive any type of help for this accident. The patient was transported in the ambulance with the fingers still trapped in the hatch. Tendons were measured to be stretched 8+ inches! There was a lot of talk on the case discussing about attempting to save the digits, yet due to extensive soft tissue damage, salvaging the fingers in that case is trickier. The extent of the damage here seems to be much to overcome, requiring a skilled team and careful management. Photo by @trauma_time
