It is an autoimmune disease in which the B-lymphocytes attack and block the calcium channels of the synaptic terminal of the neuromuscular junction via antibodies. No entry of calcium means no action potential,and leads to no muscle contraction. Symptoms are severe muscle weakness (difficulty in doing things,walking and breathing).
