Location of different foramina and canals :D

Foramina (openings) of the skull are extremely important as they allow the passage of blood vessels and nerves!! Following are the foramina that can be seen here:- Anterior cranial fossa (1) foramen cecum on the tip of cribriform plate Middle cranial fossa (2)optic canals underneath the anterior clenoid processes (3)superior orbital fissure that goes with the lesser wing if sphenoid (4)foramen rotundum located below the sup. orbital fissure (5)foramen ovale which is oval shaped and on sides of the salla turcica (6)foramen spinosum which is a tiny whole with the foramen ovale (7)foramen lacerum located under the posterior clenoid processes Posterior cranial fossa (8)internal acoustic meatus on the petrous part of temporal bone (9) foramen magnum which is obviously the largest present on the skull
