How is naegeles formula derived to calculate EDD???

If we calculate using diz formula we get a date bt only 4 percent ppl r delivering at EDD and remaining ppl deliver at plus or minus 13 days.... Den y we r using diz formula???? How naegele derived diz formula ??

We use this formula because we still haven't found a better one. I'm a midwife, and I agree with you, most of people are born before or after EDD. So, this formula is accurate if a woman concieved at her ovulation day. It's rare, but as I said, we don't have a bettet way to predict EDD yet
