The patient was cutting an old sewer pipe when the blade of the chop saw got pinched and jumped back and went straight to the throat. Luckily it missed the major blood vessels and nerves but it did cut the trachea. The patient was immediately taken to the operating room, where he underwent a 4 hour long surgery to clean the wound and suture everything in place.
