⚠️❗️AMELOBLASTOMA❗️⚠️

Ameloblastoma is the most common benign tumor of the mandible. They are locally aggressive and destructive. Conservative removal of these lesions have a recurrence rate of 75-90 % . The treatment of choice is resection of the mandible with 1 cm margins and reconstruction to avoid facial deformities. The case is a 65 years old woman with an ameloblastoma of the right side of the mandible treated with resection and reconstruction with a titanium plate. Further reconstruction with a bone graft from the hip will be done in 6 months after the ablative surgery
