Wisdom teeth

I have an problem with my wisdom teeth , on my right down side of the mouth the wisdom teeth comes up and it is half embedded in the jaws and Half part is only visible When I took the X-ray of it it shows that it's completely mature and this will be it's final state but due to this imperfection it's creating problems such as swelling , huge pain , I'm not able to eat and a little pain in head . Please give me some solution , how I can get rid of it . I consulted to an nearby doctor and he told me to remove the wisdom teeth , is it correct or is there any other solution ?
