Oral candidiasis is a rather rare pathology in adulthood, for the most part such localization of fungal infection is observed in infants. Thrush in men in the mouth is characterized by increased growth of pathogenic fungi from the Candida family on the tongue, oropharyngeal mucosa and lips. The disease causes extremely unpleasant symptoms, like itching and discomfort, and in some cases can lead to a partial or complete loss of taste.
