Hello guys I’m 3rd year medical student. And this photo is my grandpa’s. His feet turned out this 2 years ago and doctors said he hasn’t any treatment. From his blood test he doesn’t have diabetes and mineral deficiency. So doctor said that there are some sclerosis on some areas. They gave him lot of antibiotics and some drugs that I haven’t even heard. But his feet is aching every night that he can’t even sleep. What do you guys think about this?? I really need your thought
The toe can not rescued. The reason is the arteriosclerose. The antibiotics do not find the way. Perhaps the foot will be rescued, if your grandpa get an arteriell infusion with prostavasin to improve the circulation. And also He need heparin and a good wound debridment.
May need topical and oral or IV antibiotics possibly some antifungal medication. Try to clean it as best as you can.
The raised area under the Big toenail is swollen. Culture any fluid for Bacteria and Fungus.
Leech therapy in ayurveda for better prognosis...it is described by Father of surgery -Sushrut ..im his famous text Sushrut samhita
You need to refer to vascular surgeon for evaluation and possible revascularization if needed
Definitely needs an urgent vascular surgeon referral for evaluation and angioplasty. Peripheral arterial disease is causing the rest pain and arterial ulcers. Do not debride these wounds yet as the necrotic tissue is acting as the bodys own biological cover. Debridement after revascularisation if sucessful. In the meantime keep the wounds clean and dry, and use an antimicrobial dressing.
Your grandpa needs some sort of debridement by an orthopedic surgeon or general surgeon .I do emphasize that he has to be visited by an orthopedic or general surgeon.
he definitely needs a vascular surgeons evaluation and angioplasty too restore perfusion to the foot. Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is the cause of the rest pain and arterial ulcers. Do not debride these wounds yet, as the necrotic tissue acts as the bodys own biological cover until after revascularization if sucessful. Then these wounds will heal. In the meantime keep the wounds clean and dry with an antimicrobial dressing.
