This is how cardiac tamponade looks in real following cardiac injury. Surgery was done to relieve the tamponade by opening the pericardium after midline sternotomy. And the injured part of the heart was repaired. Pericardiocentesis can be tried for non traumatic cardiac tamponade. For chronic massive pericardial effusion, a pleuropericardial window can be created via right or left anterolateral thoracotomy.

Is it necessary to do a thoracotomy or is their another way to relieve the tamponade. Pericardiocentesis is what I have been taught but this is the most precise surgery ever. Thanks for the video and please keep posting more
