It is an ulcer that is located at the beginning of the small intestine. It causes gastric outlet obstruction, stomach and intestine perforation and inflammation of the tissue that lines the abdominal wall. It is caused by a bacteria called helicobacter pylori or overuse of nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drugs. Symptoms include abdominal pain, excessive belching, frequent heartburn and indigestion and nausea.
