Tobacco And Oral Cancer

Tobacco And Oral Cancer

Tobacco use significantly increases the risk of oral cancer, including oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). All forms of tobacco, including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, chewing tobacco, and snuff, contain carcinogens that can damage cells in the mouth, leading to cancer. The risk is particularly high for long-term users of smokeless tobacco.
